Right to Health

Daily Prompt: Right to Health

Is access to medical care something that governments should provide, or is it better left to the private sector? Are there drawbacks to your choice?

Wow. Since when did Daily Post become so political? Haha. Kidding.

Anyway, let’s get serious.

If it were that easy, of course, the government should provide access to medical care.
That would be highly ideal.
But sadly, in a developing country such as mine, this is not so.

Don’t get me wrong.
They do give and try to give access but not how one would’ve hope.
There’s still a lot more to improve on and resources are the major constraints.

Lack of medical professionals.
Lack of good facilities.
In short, lack of funds.

However, we cannot always demand for higher budget for health care because other areas, such as education, will suffer.

What more for countries poorer than mine?!
I could only imagine. *sigh*

So it is always gratifying to know that there’s always from the private sector aiding what the government lacks.

Government and private sector.
Each and every one.
Hand in hand for better health care.
For a better world.
